Your First Visit
What to Expect on Your First Visit
At your first appointment, we will perform a thorough evaluation focused on understanding your injury, symptoms, and overall physical activity goals. Your visit will typically begin with a review of your medical history, past injuries, and current concerns. A focused physical examination will then be performed, which may include range-of-motion testing, strength and stability assessment. Imaging studies such as X-rays, CTs or MRIs may be ordered if needed to further evaluate your presenting problem. We will discuss treatment options, whether that involves physical therapy, non-surgical interventions, or, in some cases, surgical options. The goal of this visit is to work with you to develop a treatment plan to allow you to return to your goal activities.
